History of the Center
The International Research Training Medical Assembly Center was established by a group of surgeons and scientists under the leadership of renowned surgeon and urologist, Professor Doctor Medical Science Rashad Sholan. The center operates with the aim of advancing the qualifications of medical professionals, strengthening international medical connections, and developing scientific research.

Professor Rashad Sholan, MD, DSci, PhD

June 27, 1980 — Imishli district
Rashad Sholan was born on June 27, 1980, in the city of Imishli, Azerbaijan SSR, into an intellectual family. In 1993, he was admitted through a competitive exam to the Technical-Humanitarian Lyceum named after Habibboy Makhmudbekov, under the honorary guidance of academician Azad Mirzajanzade.
In 1997, he entered the First Medical-Preventive Faculty of Azerbaijan Medical University, graduating with distinction in 2003. That same year, he was admitted to residency at the Department of Urology, Ege University, Turkey, where he trained as an assistant in all directions of urological surgery from 2003 to 2009. During this period, he performed 802 operations.
In 2011, he performed the first laparoscopic nephrectomy in Azerbaijan. In 2019, he founded the "Association of Specialists in Kidney Transplantation" and was appointed Chief Specialist in kidney transplantation at the Ministry of Health.
On April 1, 2022, he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences. He is the author of more than 100 scientific papers. Since 2023, he has been Head of the Scientific Research Center of the Main Military Medical Directorate of the State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He is fluent in English, Turkish, and Russian.

Career Timeline
"Study of the microflora of urine in patients with chronic pyelonephritis and glomerulonephritis" — first scientific paper published in TEC materials.
Elected as Chairman of the TEC of the 1st Medical-Preventive Faculty at AMU.
Graduated from AMU with distinction. Admitted to residency at the Department of Urology, Ege University, Turkey.
Defended dissertation. Awarded by the Turkish Continence Society. Returned to Azerbaijan and became one of the pioneers of laparoscopic urology.
Became the official representative of the "International Young Urologists Association" (IYUA) for Azerbaijan.
Performed the first laparoscopic nephrectomy in Azerbaijan. Long-term training in robotic surgery at Yonsei University.
Presented the first series of laparoscopic urology in Azerbaijan at the 30th International Congress of Endourologists. Completed IRCAD courses in France.
Became a Research Associate Member of the American Urological Association (AUA).
Became head of the "Kidney Diseases and Transplantology" department at the Republican Diagnostic Center.
Advanced training in the kidney transplantation program at Yonsei University. Established the "Immunophysiology and Experimental Transplantology" laboratory.
Founded the "Association of Specialists in Kidney Transplantation". Appointed Chief Specialist in kidney transplantation at the Ministry of Health.
Defended doctoral dissertation on "Modeling of interstitial cystitis...". Awarded the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences.
Head of the Scientific Research Center of the Main Military Medical Directorate of the State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Head of the "Kidney Diseases and Organ Transplantation" department at the State Security Service Military Hospital. Honorary Professor of Namangan State University and Central Asian Medical University.
